IDNR's Ecosystem Partnership Program integrates local communities and public and private landowners to protect our watersheds through ecosystem-based management.  The program is funded through Conservation 2000 (C2000), a long-term approach to protecting and managing Illinois' natural resources.  The Program consists of four components:

• Assessment and Monitoring
• Integrated Technical Assistance
• Ecosystem Project, Planning and Support Grants
• Ecosystem Interpretation and Education

The Ecosystem Program is made up of Ecosystem Partners, which are coalitions of local stakeholders including private landowners, businesses, scientists, environmental organizations, recrational enthusiasts, and policy makers.  The DuPage River Coaliton is an Ecosystem Partner.
